Christine Grimes
Christine Grimes, 89, of Milcrest Nursing Center, died Tuesday afternoon at the nursing home. She had worked 34 years for the O.M. Scott Company.
Born May 27, 1901 in Marysville, the lifetime Marysville resident was the daughter of Jacob and Blanche (Coder) Westfall. They preceded her in death, along with a brother, William Westfall; a sister, Burnette Worthington; and her husband, Walter Grimes, who died Feb. 19, 1962.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a member of Circle II of the church. She was also a member of the Sew-Sew Club and Scott's 20-year club.
Survivors include a sister, Lucille Elk of Marysville; nephew and wife, Joe and Mary Alice Elk of Marysville; niece and husband, Rebecca and Charles Butcher of Lexington, KY; and niece and husband, Anna Mae and George Griffin of Marysville.
Funeral services are set for 10AM Friday at the Mannasmith-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Hershberger officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church with cards available at the funeral home.
