GRIMES James W. Grimes, age 83, of Columbus, died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Willow Brook Christian Home. Retired Plumber and Pipe fitter. Veteran US Army WW II. Member Maize Manor United Methodist Church and Local #189 Plumbers and Pipe fitters. Preceded in death by brothers Harold Grimes, Howard Grimes, Ralph Grimes; sister Mary Shaw; daughter-in-law Bonnie Grimes. Survived by wife, Louise; children, Ronald Lee (Darlene) Grimes, Columbus, Patricia Gale (Jay) McClintic, Upper Arlington, James Dennis (Julie) Grimes, Upper Arlington; grandchildren, Heather (Troy) Miller, Hollie (Josh) Freshour, Ron Grimes, Abigail Grimes, Scott McClintic, Sarah McClintic, Keri McClintic, Maria Grimes, and Brooke Grimes; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Troy Miller; brother, Loren "Shine" (Virginia) Grimes, Marysville, OH.; sister-in-law, Mildred Grimes, Unionville Center, OH.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday October 13, 2003 at Maize Manor United Methodist Church, 3901 Maize Rd. Rev. James Freshour officiating. Interment Kingwood Memorial Park. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Friends if they wish may contribute to the Maize Manor Scholarship Fund or to the Willow Brook Christian Home in his memory.
