Grimes Service to be Friday
Funeral service will be held at 2PM Friday at Postle-Hale Funeral Home for Ralph Grimes, 80, Redington Shores, Fla., former Marysville resident, who died early Tuesday.
A retired employee of O.M. Scott and Sons Co., where he was a member of the 25 Year Club, he was the son of the late James and Mary Elizabeth (Stoll) Grimes. He was born Sept. 30, 1894 and was a member of the Seminole Methodist Church in Florida and the Men's Club of the church.
He was twice married. His first wife, the former Melvina Jane Shaw died in 1948. He married the former Monetta McCarty in 1957. She survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Harold of Hilliard, Howard of Unionville Center, James of Columbus, Ralph W., Seminole, Fla., and Loren of Marysville; a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Mary Elizabeth) Shaw of Urbana; a brother, Earl of Clearwater, Fla.; five step-children; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. John Groat will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 PM tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday.
