OLIVER SHAW
Oliver Shaw, son of Harrison and Anna Shaw, was born in Harford county, Maryland, Oct. 17, 1842, died July 19, 1922, aged 79 years, 9 months and 2 days. When a small child he moved with his parents to Union County, Ohio, where he since resided, being the last surviving member of a family of seven children.
On January 12, 1865 he was united in marriage to Sarah E. Amrine, who died September 9, 1904. To this union nine children were born, seven of whom survive, Lewis Shaw, of Marysville; Howard Shaw, of Broadway; H. H. Shaw of Columbus; Abraham S. Shaw, of Marion; Wm. Shaw, of Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Lewis Amrine, and Mrs. John Smith, of near Marysville; Mrs. Nannie Hamilton and Mrs. G. F. Griffin, being deceased. Twenty-four grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives survive.
On October 3, 1906 he was united in marriage to Emma Schirtzer. To this union one daughter was born, Blanch, who with the widow survive; also 4 step-children, Mrs. Dwight Wood, Mrs. Howard Blue, Chester and Lester Schertzer.
