ANOTHER OLD CITIZEN GONE
Mary Grimes, daughter of John and Elizabeth Howard, was born in Harrison county, West Virginia, December 22, 1822. Died June 5, 1896, aged 73 years, 4 months and 13 days.
She was united in marriage to Henry Grimes in April, 1846, to which union was born five children -- three boys and two girls. She moved with her husband and family from West Virginia to their farm in Allen township, this county, in January, 1869.
She became a member of Union M.E. church at an early period in her life, and has lived an earnest and devoted Christian throughout a long and useful life.
She leaves three sons and a host of friends to mourn the loss of a devoted mother, loving friend and obliging neighbor.
The family of deceased desire to thank their friends for their generous help and sympathy.
