OLIVER SHAW DIES AFTER A LONG ILLNESS
Oliver Shaw of Taylor township died at his late home, Wednesday, after a long illness from a complication of diseases.
He was married to Elizabeth Amrine, whose death occurred in 1904. To them were born nine children and seven of these are living. Howard Shaw of Broadway; Louis Shaw of Marysville; Avy Shaw of Marion; Harry Shaw of Columbus; William Shaw of Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Don Smith and Mrs. Luther Amrine, near Broadway.
In 1906 the deceased was married to Mrs. Emma Schertzer, Miss Blanche Shaw was the only child born of that union.
Mr. Shaw was a prominent farmer and well known in the county. He was upright and honorable and had the respect of all who knew him.
Funeral services at the family home Friday at 2:30 p.m. with burial in Oakdale in charge of L.H. Miller.
