Anna M. "Peg" Rader, 70, of 437 E. Ninth St. died March 28 at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home, Payne. She was a retired waitress at the Lamplighter Restaurant and McCarthy Pharmacy, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member and past president of the Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. Chapter 41.
She was born May 27, 1917 in Union County to George and Grace (Gantt) Shaw who preceded her in death. Her foster parents were the late Walter "Boots" Kasper and Frances Kasper who survives in Marysville.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (Irene) Williamson, Antwerp, Mrs. James (Delores) McConnahea, Marysville, a son, Harold W. Rader, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. John (Glenna) Santo, Columbus, Mrs. Margaret McNaughton, Chandler, Ariz., a brother Evan T. Shaw, Lakeview, and foster brothers, Robert and Loren Kasper, Marysville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Hackett officiating and interment in Oakdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, Tuesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Blue Star Mothers service will be at 7:30 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Dallas Lamb Foundation Home, Payne.
