GEORGE SHAW DIED MONDAY
George Shaw, aged 46, well known farmer of Peoria, passed away Monday night at 9 o'clock at Mt. Carmel Hospital, Columbus, after a short illness. He was a native of Liberty Township, born April 10, 1887, a son of Evan and Maria Jane Coder Shaw, both deceased. His mother was a native of Marysville, his father of Maryland. His wife, Grace Gant (sp) Shaw, died ten years ago. Mr. Shaw had resided in the county all his lifetime.
Two sons, Evan and George Shaw, and three daughters, Anna, Glenna, and Margaret Shaw, of Peoria, survive. Five sisters, Mrs. Anna Vanderau and Mrs. Mary Blue of Peoria, Mrs. Jennie Bonham of Akron, Mrs. Eva Bowersmith and Mrs. Martha Fry of Marysville; and three brothers, Arthur and Jacob Shaw of near Peoria and Harrison Shaw of Pharisburg, also survive.
Funeral services Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Miller Funeral Home, Marysville, and burial in Oakdale cemetery in charge of L.H. Miller.
