Croy, Byron B. (male) |
Father | 21 Aug 1840 | Croy, Amos Joy |
Mother | 5 Aug 1845 | Sewell, Susannah |
Birth | About Nov 1885 | MO |
The only reference found so far of Byron's existence is his mention with the family in the 1900 US census. Homer never refers to him in his books in any way whatsoever. While I don't believe Homer ever referred to himself as an only child, he never referred to or named a brother in any way. In fact, it seemed like Homer spent as much of his time as possible over at the neighbor's house (Newt Kennedy). As often as he mentioned his cousin Phoebe who lived with them, one would expect that Homer would at least mention the existence of a brother. |
